Green Mountain Spinnery Baby Sweater

I haven’t knitted for well over two years, and even considered giving away my needles and yarn stash. I’m glad that I didn’t because in the eleventh hour before a baby shower I was inspired to make a very special gift for the new parents-to-be.

Green Mountain Spinnery’s Rebecca’s Little Sweater was a great pattern to ease me back into knitting. (I’m a little ashamed to admit that I had forgotten how to yo k2tog, increase and even cast-on. Thankfully YouTube was there to help me at 12:45 AM when I just couldn’t remember.) The pattern is a well-written and easy to follow. In the wee hours of the morning I did mess up the “brocade” pattern a few times, but that was due to lack of sleep, and was no fault of the pattern.
