I have been in one of those purging moods as of late, where I want to expunge all clutter and excess from my life. There are certain trouble spots in my home, the coffee and bedside tables that both attract flocks of books and magazines, and occasional newspapers. But what drives me the most crazy are the piles of shoes here and there. Random shoes, sometimes paired, other times divorced or estranged, never to be reunited.
In an effort to bring order to my life, I created Hanging Pockets from Akiko Mano’s Linen, Wool, Cotton. My skills increased with each row of pockets that I attached, so that the pockets read like before, during, and after photos of a child’s teeth straightened with braces.
Now 6-8 pairs of my shoes will be harmoniously united once again.
